car manufactured by students of the University of Agriculture Makurdi
“All materials used for this car were sourced locally.
Though, there are things that we did not fabricate ourselves, you will be surprised that some of the components like the electrical, we just looked at an old computer system and then adopted some of the components that were useful to us. So, this is one example of what we did, which is recycling, otherwise, I will say 100 per cent of the things we used were produced here in NIGERIA”.
This is a practical demonstration of what the Nigerian and African youths can achieve if giving the right platform and opportunity. Well done guys!

the Resident Pastor, Shepherd House Assembly International, Jos has said that pornography and masturbation could affect the brain and impede productivity. “Those twin evils could hurt the brain and impede productivity because of the cumulative negative effects of addiction to them,” he stated on Sunday in Jos, during a sermon at the Youth Conference of the Church. In the sermon titled: ‘Dealing with Forces of Addiction’, he noted that a high percentage of youths suffer addiction mostly to pornography and masturbation. “ Research has shown that more than 50 per cent of youths are addicted to pornography, while 60 to 90 per cent of adolescent boys and 40 per cent of adolescent girls are addicted to masturbation. “ These addictions are sins against nature; the right hemisphere of the brain functions in facilitating creativity and inventions and a portion of the brain called ‘cingulate codex, is responsible for moral and ethical decisions. “ So, when you feed your brain with masturbation and pornographic materials, it impedes your productivity and affects the efficiency of your brain which is designed to perform the task of creativity and invention,’’ he explained. Ojoh said that the remedy to such addictions was acknowledging that addicts could not fight the battle of emancipation alone, and therefore required divine intervention to see them through. “ Addicts of masturbation must admit that they cannot overcome their battles alone. They must accept that it is only possible with the divine intervention of God. “It is important you avoid anything that triggers such addictions; these are things that you see and read that pollute your mind towards it like movies, magazines and places “ You must renew your mind and feed it with the word of God to fight addictive materials that have occupied the space of your mind. “Addicts should also seek counsel from people of integrity, who will counsel them and monitor them through their recovery process,’’ he said. He said that addictions could also enslave a man, put him in bondage and regulate the lifestyle of the affected person or persons, which could subjugate potentialities. The clergy, who defined addiction as a repeated habit which becomes a lifestyle, mentioned other negative addictions to include the internet, food, sex, alcohol, amongst others. The youth conference featured comedies, drama plays and special renditions from the Choir.

UAM Town Hall Meeting- Prof. Emmanuel Iornumbe Kucha(V.C Uni. Agric.).

The incidence of the Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi's first ever Town Hall Meeting between the Vice-chancellor and students is raising questions as individuals and groups ponder on the reason for the Academic Pilot's call!
-Could it be a platform for him to interact with his students and better understand their stand on how he has run our citadel of learning for the last four(4) years?
-Would the students be getting an ultimatum and consequential statement regarding non-payment of school fees.
-Or just perhaps Our Vice Chancellor wishes to intimate his students on what to expect as he runs the last lap of his tenure as Commander in Chief...these and many more are the questions lingering in the minds of GREAT MAKURDIANS over what many have tagged A "Blind Date with the Vice-Chancellor".
Regardless of our thoughts on the Vice-Chancellor's call,I wish to urge us all to see this opportunity to meet and discuss with the re-engineering captain as honourable and noble. A town hall meeting as its been tagged is a fair platform for Great Makurdians to make their thought known on issues bothering on their welfare and development of our citadel of learning. Lets Make our Voices Heard as we make it a duty to be part of what promises to be an eventful time out with Uam's Prof. Emmanuel Iornumbe Kucha(V.C Uni. Agric.).
Date -Wednesday 16th Nov. 2016.
Time- 2Pm prompt.
Venue- James Ayatse Convocation Square, South Core.

24-yr-old led invasion of Benue police station that killed 3 officers

Embassy

 Embassy

A 24-year-old man, Gabriel Ocheme, also known as Embassy, who allegedly led the bloody attack on the Igumale Police Station in Ado Local Government Area of Benue State, resulting in the death of three police officers, has been arrested.
Also arrested alongside the wanted kingpin was another member of the gang, 25-year-old Okwori Oko.
Embassy
The gang had, last month, invaded the said police station, killed police officers and carted away fire arms.
Parading the suspects alongside four others, who were arrested for various crimes in the state, Police Commissioner, Bashir Makama, who briefed reporters in Makurdi on his first hundred days in office, said the police were on the trail of other members of the gang.
Makama said: “We are trailing other members of the gang and also making concerted efforts to recover the arms the gang carted away from the Igumale Police Station.
“We discovered that the gang is made up of young men who are sometimes hired as mercenaries to prosecute inter-communal crisis in the state.
“They are also known for masterminding several highway robberies in the Benue south area of the state, including the attacks on police patrol and stop-and-search teams in the area.”
Recovered within said period were about 80 assorted calibres of fire arms and over 700 rounds of live ammunition.

FEDERAL GOVERNMENT TO BAN --MMM --- AND CLOSE ALL BANK ACCOUNTS IN MMM

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Fellow Guiders, please make sure you educate your down lines not to narrate MMM when they are making funds transfer or cash deposits.
CBN has initiated a process to pull out all MMM related accounts with all Nigerian Banks.
A very reliable source from Diamond Bank just told me that they received a memo from CBN to freeze any bank account with narration MMM.
They have intensified the fight against MMM and we have to wise up... .

Michael Blaise Ngutor
God's faithfulness endured today as I locked horns yet again with the representative of the Benue State University in the finals of the Samuel Ortom Public Speech Contest which took place at the College of Health Sciences Auditorium, Benue State University Makurdi.
The Federal University of Agriculture, Makurdi emerged Champions of the Maiden edition of the Tertiary Institution's Public Speech Contest 2016 and wrote their names in gold to be remembered forever by all within and outside Benue when the history of BENSAFE is mentioned.
I wish to recognize the Unique support which Great Makurdians have shown both me and the team as we steadily progressed through the competition. I cannot thank you enough.
I wish to formally dedicate today's Victory in a special way to God Almighty,

My family and GREAT MAKURDIANS even as I look forward to our University developing into what it can and should be in areas of intellectual endeavour.
